Position: SAP Basis administration
Location: Praha

Job description: 
For our clients new IT near shore center in Prague we are searching experienced hires.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Min. 2 years SAP BASIS experience on ABAP and JAVA systems
• Unix / Linux Skills (basis admin. knowledge and shell programming)
• Oracle Skills (SQL and administration know how)
• Applies Enhancement Packages, kernel patches and Support Packages
• Patches oracle databases and software
• Familiar with the SAP Market Place and SDN
o Opens/closes remote connection between local site and SAP
o Managing request, licenses, keys, downloads etc.
• Monitors system performance thru workload analysis, and does tuning and configuration
• Conducts system health checks and problem diagnostics thru ABAP/Java log, dump, and trace analysis
• Provides Basis support to users
• Perform JAVA and Portal configuration / set up parameters
• Administrate Transport Systems TMS and CTS+
• Administer and monitor daily basis batch jobs and backup.
• Advise on local authorizations and access issues
• Arrange system-, database, client copies
• Manage Spool and Printer on SAP and OS level
• Manage basic tasks in Solution Manager:
o add, change and remove client systems in solutions and landscapes
o handle ccms agents
o Experience in managing monitoring objects and elements
• User Administration and support such as user creation/assignment, authorization roles and profiles.
• Ensure SAP systems are available and secure 24x7
• Day-to-day maintenance activities by defined checklists
• Familiar with Windows Microsoft Office Applications

Additional optionally Requirements
• Installs/upgrades SAP Solutions (ERP, SRM, SCM, BI, SEM, PI, Portal)
• Installs/upgrades oracle software and databases

Qualifications
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Expertise in the specification, design, integration and maintenance of SAP basis services
• Knowledge of operating systems LINUX, Windows, VMware and storage systems
• Knowledge of databases ORACLE and MS SQL

Mandatory general skills for this job
• Ability to work in a multicultural team in a central European set-up
• Fluency spoken and written English
• German language skills are a plus
• self-motivated demonstrated good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Provide SAP NetWeaver technical Basis administration tasks in a large, complex, computing environment
• Work on ITIL based processes
• Support 7x24x365 based SAP environment operations during on-call rotation
• Well rounded, possess maturity, vision, and a depth of experience that allows for grasping of issues quickly and taking educated, critical judgments in the absence of complete information
• Have good interpersonal skills for the purposes of requirements gathering from both technical and non-technical members of staff
• Assure a high level of stability, integrity, reliability, security, and availability of the SAP environment under his/her responsibility, consistent with the resources available and the established change control policies and prescribed procedures.
• Produce / work on documentation and procedures regarding the proper use and operation of the corporate SAP system infrastructure
• Correct / resolve reported problems with SAP software and communication interfaces under his/her responsibility
• Utilize a incident- / problem management tool to track open tickets and follow up to resolution and closure
